Ever since MS Dhoni went on a sabbatical after the 2019 edition of the World Cup, there have been reports about his whereabouts. Most of the experts have had their say on what Dhoni is to the Indian team and what he should be doing going into the future. Of late, one of his pictures are doing the rounds where Dhoni’s beard can be seen grey in colour.

Even as many of his fans are busy reminiscing his early days of cricket, they are also saddened to see their favourite cricketer getting old. However, there was an instance when Dhoni had the chance of trolling one of his mates- Suresh Raina- over beard. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) uploaded a video where the 38-year-old can be seen, playfully pulling Raina’s legs.

In the clip, Raina walked up to Dhoni and gave him a warm hug. Dhoni then reminded Raina, saying that the latter’s beard has grown white. Both of them broke into laughter after MSD’s comment. CSK captioned the video and wrote, “Like the sky! @msdhoni @ImRaina #WhistlePodu.”

Earlier, during the Super Kings’ camp for the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL), Dhoni made himself available. Despite not playing cricket for quite some time, he impressed CSK bowling coach Lakshmipathy Balaji.

“Dhoni was looking good, fit. He focused on training just like he always does and was as normal as he has always been. He trained like the way he did last year or 2 years ago. There is nothing that changes when it comes to his preparation. His routine, his mindset, everything is the same,” Balaji had said.

“Dhoni was focussed on getting ready for the IPL. He is that kind of a person who always takes it one moment at a time,” he added.

The training camp was eventually cancelled after the massive coronavirus outbreak. The IPL was set to get underway on March 29 with the match between CSK and defending champions Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.

But the tournament was first postponed to April 15. However, after the lockdown in India was extended to May 3, the IPL had to be deferred for an indefinite period.
