'When we won IPL in 2014' - Andre Russell recalls his favourite moment with KKR

Andre Russell, the flamboyant all-rounder for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), has made some interesting confessions regarding cricket and his personal choices. He talked about his favorite sportsperson, his favorite food in Kolkata, his favorite moment with the franchise, and much more.

Russell recently entered the elite club by becoming just the fourth player to score 2000 runs for the franchise, alongside Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, and Yusuf Pathan. With an IPL strike rate of 197.17, the veteran became the fastest batter (in terms of balls faced) to achieve the 2000-run mark.

This season has not been the best for Russell, as he has been unable to perform the finisher’s duties regularly. But his performance in the previous game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad was commendable. The prolific all-rounder went on to score a powerful 49*(28) and followed it with three wickets during the defense.

In a video shared by the franchise on their official handle, Russell answered many questions which revealed his likes and dislikes. He talked about his favorite moment with KKR and named it to be the 2014 finals that his side won, bagging their second IPL title. Russell has been a regular in the KKR team and brings in a lot of experience to the side with his all-around skills.

When asked about his philosophy in life, he simply stated “Live and enjoy to your fullest”. Russell has followed this throughout his career and has surely enjoyed every knock that he has played, living every moment to his fullest and taking the best out of it.
