Harbhajan Singh, the veteran Indian spinner was involved in a live Instagram session with Rupha Ramani for Chennai Super Kings. During the discussion, he opened up about MS Dhoni and his off-field behaviour while playing for Team India. In the meantime, he also revealed the strange feeling that he got when he first time wore CSK jersey.

The 39-year-old bowler played mostly for Mumbai Indians since its inaugural season in the cash-rich league. He donned their glittery-blue jersey in 10 seasons before he was released by the franchise back in 2018. During the auction, he was bought by none other than CSK. Interestingly, in that particular season, CSK managed to get their hands on the prestigious trophy as well.

Now, Bhajji has revealed his feelings when he first wore the yellow colour CSK uniform. He said that it was something strange and the veteran spinner couldn’t believe and it felt like a dream to him. Harbhajan added that in IPL, whenever he used to take ground for MI against CSK, it was always looked down as an India-Pakistan match. As per him, it was quite difficult for him to get used to it after wearing Mumbai Indians jersey for 10 seasons.

“First time, it was very strange. I was like ‘what is this? Is this a dream?’ Whenever we played against CSK, it was like India-Pakistan, it was a tough game. Then suddenly, I was not wearing blue and wearing yellow was difficult. It was very difficult to get used to,” Harbhajan Singh told sports producer Rupha Ramani.

The 39-year-old recited the fact that it was great for him to get over the match against Mumbai Indians early in the inaugural game of 2018 edition. According to finger spinner, that was quite a difficult season for him but ended up with the trophy with CSK.

“Luckily, we played our first match against Mumbai. I was like, ‘it was good we got over this match early’. Throughout the first season, it was difficult. After that, we won the trophy. The second season was better,” he added.
