Delhi Capitals opener David Warner recently opened up on the weight of expectations from his daughters and noted that it wasn’t simple during the IPL 2022. The left-hander showed why he is one of the best players in the history of IPL and turned up with 432 runs in 12 games at an average of 48 and an impressive strike rate of 150.52. His partnership with Prithvi Shaw at the top was a total treat to watch for the fans and there was always the entertainment factor guaranteed.

He played a lot of match-winning innings this season for the franchise including the highest score of unbeaten 92 and finished as the top run-getter for Delhi Capitals which included five half-centuries. However, he could not take his franchise into the playoffs of IPL 2022 as they missed out on the race narrowly by finishing fifth in the season.

They expect him to get 100 every single game, David Warner’s wife Candice

Recently, in an interview with Fox Cricket, Warner’s wife Candice revealed the weight of her daughter’s expectations and noted how they expect Warner to reach a century in every game. She added that she had to console them stating that it is okay to contribute and it’s not about just hundreds. Meanwhile, Warner responded to his wife’s statement revealing the difficulties of answering the daughters’ questions about not scoring centuries every game.

“It was an experience. The girls take David (Warner) getting out really, really hard. And it’s me going afterwards. ‘No, it’s okay. He actually did really well. He contributed to the team’. But they expect him to get 100 every single game,” Candice added.

“It’s not. It’s not. It’s actually hard because when you come home, and every day it’s just like why can’t you get a 100? It’s not that simple,” Warner responded to the statement from her wife.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans have made it to the finals of IPL 2022, while there will be a battle between Rajasthan Royals and the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Qualifier 2 which will decide the second finalist.
