After the first T20I between India and the Windies at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Florida Lauderhill, the two teams are again set to cross swords at the same venue. The Caribbean team is mostly known for their unflinching style of play and not letting the opposition team settle down at any point in time. But the Virat Kohli-led visiting team neutralized them.

Lauderhill has been a high-scoring venue with the first few games producing some exciting contests. These two sides were once involved in a game back in 2016 that produced nearly 500 runs. The story on Saturday turned out to be a tad different though. In the opening match, the Windies could only manage 95 runs in their 20 overs. Only Kieron Pollard showed some fight with a knock of 49.

Pitch and Conditions

The pitch was under the covers in the first match and hence had a bit of moisture in it. Hence, both teams wished to bowl first and take advantage of the playing conditions. However, the track on Sunday may be a tad drier. It could also be a bit better for batting.

Team Combinations

Windies

The Caribbean team is likely to give Jason Mohammad a chance in the eleven. Campbell managed to bag a duck, getting out to Sundar. Mohammad came in as a replacement for Andre Russell. The batting was awful in the first match and it would need to make amends. The likes of Pooran, Lewis threw their wickets away and will have to show a bit more application to get runs consistently.

Probable XI

John Campbell/Jason Mohammad, Evin Lewis, Nicholas Pooran (WK), Shimron Hetmyer, Kieron Pollard, Rovman Powell, Carlos Brathwaite (C), Sunil Narine, Keemo Paul, Sheldon Cottrell, Oshane Thomas

India

The Men in Blue are unlikely to change their eleven. Their bowling didn’t allow the opposition to settle down whatsoever. Even Navdeep Saini, who made his debut, didn’t look flustered and got wickets. Sundar made his international comeback and he was the one to give India the early breakthrough, nipping out Campbell. They would wish to carry on with their impressive form.

Probable XI

Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli (C), Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant (WK), Krunal Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Washington Sundar, Navdeep Saini, K Khaleel Ahmed

Probable Top Performers

Nicholas Pooran- Windies | Virat Kohli– India
