Just days after a woman from Pakistan had accused Babar Azam of sexually assaulting her, she has filed a police complaint alleging a murder attempt. Around a couple of weeks ago, the lady had sensationally alleged that she had been exploited and given false promises of marriage for 10 years by the Pakistan skipper.

In her sensational press conference, she claimed that she paid for Babar’s expenses when he was toiling hard to make it big in the game and was yet to make his international debut. She had alleged that Babar sexually assaulted her for years at the false pretense of marriage. According to her, she had become pregnant at one point in their illegitimate affair before the cricketer started assaulting her.

“He promised to marry me, he got me pregnant, he beat me up, he threatened me and he used me. I have known Babar since the time he had nothing to do with cricket. He was from a poor household. I hope all my brothers and sisters here are going to help me get justice so that no daughter gets to go through what I have. Babar and I have grown up in the same colony, we used to stay together,” the woman was quoted as saying to 24NewsHD. “

“In 2017, I made a police complaint against Babar at the Nasirabad station. He has exploited me for 10 years, both physically and sexually,” she had added.

Woman alleges assault

Days after the sensational allegations against Babar Azam, the woman has claimed that some armed men had opened fire at her vehicle near the Kahna Police Station in Lahore. According to Geo TV, the assailants were on a motorcycle. In her complaint to the police, the lady has also claimed that she has been receiving death threats for several days.

“My life is in danger. I have been receiving death threats for days,” she was quoted as saying by the news outlet.

The woman has reportedly sought help from Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, requesting him to provide her with protection. The report added that the police have confirmed that a complaint has been filed and they have said the matter is under investigation. Earlier, a court had asked the police to comment on the petition that sought registration of a criminal case against Babar Azam by December 4.
