World Cup 2015 Match 21 India vs UAE Review: India wins a one sided affair: The India vs UAE match was supposed to be a one-sided affair with a hope of fight from the minnow team, but it didn’t turn out to be any. The only good thing to come out of the game was the form of Indian bowlers and batting practice that Indian batsmen got.

UAE won the toss on the Perth ground and chose to bat first. India had made just one change with Bhuvaneshwar Kumar coming in for Mohd. Shami.  UAE had the worst start possible when they lost their top 3 for 4 runs each. After that Ashwin spun a web of spin, doosra, floater and arm balls around the UAE batting and with the ball bouncing and spinning on a fast Perth pitch, there was no way UAE batsmen were equipped with technique to cope with that. Ashwin took his first 4 wicket haul in ODIs with a career best 4/25. Umesh Yadav bowled fast, touching speeds of 149 kmph regularly and bowling a great bouncer and a superb yorker to end the UAE innings. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar also got a wicket on his return from injury. India bowled out UAE for 102, the lowest ever total against India in World cup.

Indian batting was all about batting practice. Both Dhawan and Rohit gave themselves enough time to have a look at the pitch and batted with ease. Shikhar Dhawan hit some good shots before falling to a good catch by Rohan Mustafa off Mohd. Naveed for 14 runs. But the important thing was the valuable batting that Rohit Sharma got in the middle and looked to have got back his touch somewhat. Virat Kohli also got his eye in and batte with relative ease on the fastest pitch of the world. Kohli remained not out on 33 whie Rohit completed his 50 and scored an unbeaten 57 with 10 fours and 1 six.

Ravichandran Ashwin won the Man of the match for his career best 4/25.

Brief Scores:
India 104 for 1 18.5 overs (R Sharma 57*,V Kohli 33*;M Naveed 1/35) beat UAE 102 31.3 overs (S Anwar 35,K Khan 14;R Ashwin 4-25) by 9 wickets.
