World Cup 2015 Match 25 Pakistan vs UAE Review: Comprehensive win for Pakistan: Pakistan defeated UAE in a clinical performance at McLean Park, Napier. With this win, Pakistan has now won their second match in the group. Read further for the review of the match.

UAE won the toss and put Pakistan into bat on a beautiful batting track. Nasir Jamshed again got out early, but Haris Sohail and Ahmed Shehzad made UAE pay for their lapses. Haris Sohail (70) and Ahmed Shehzad (93) put on 160 runs together for second wicket.  Shehzad became the first non-New Zealand batsman to get run out in the 90s.

After their departure, Captain Misbah-ul-Haq and Shoiab Maqsood continued to pile on the misery on UAE bowlers. Maqsood scored 45 and Misbah scored 65 off 49 balls. Shahid Afridi made a contribution of 21 runs from 7 balls towards the end of the innings. The UAE bowlers had no answer to the Pakistani batsmen. Their best bowler Amjad  Javed went for 76 runs off his 9 overs and the only bowler to ask questions and pick up wickets was Manjula Guruge who picked up 4/56 in his 8 overs. Pakistan ended up making 339/6 in their 50 overs.

The UAE batsmen had a tough task in front of them.  But the Pakistani bowlers reduced them to 25/3 in 9 overs.  Khurram Khan (43) and the most consistent batsmen in UAE ranks Shaiman Anwar (62) scored 83 runs for the 4th wicket to bring some credibility to their batting. After their dismissal, wicket keeper Swapnil Patil (36) and bowler Amjad Javed (40) added 68 runs together, with Javed hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes in an over to Sohail Khan. UAE hung on to avoid losing all the 10 wickets and ended up with 210/8 in their 50 overs.

Sohail Khan (2/52), Wahab Riaz (2/54) and Shahid Afridi (2/35) were the chief wicket takers in the UAE innings. Ahmed Shehzad was declared as Man of the match for his 93.
