Bangladesh have been making steady progress over the past decade, and this time around, their fans expected them to reach the semi-final of the World Cup. The first match showed quite a lot of promise, where the Tigers defeated the Proteas. The loss against New Zealand was a closely contested one, while there was no contest in the game against England.

Their game against Sri Lanka was abandoned and the reason was the same. Even then, it would be foolish to wipe Bangladesh off, but nature might do it anyway. There is a 61% precipitation chance during their next game against West Indies in Taunton. After that, they are scheduled to play Australia on a day where the chances of rain climbs to 78%.

There are 56% chances of precipitation during their matches against Afghanistan and India respectively. That implies, there is more than 50% chance of four of Bangladesh’s remaining five games getting wiped out, or at least cut short.
