World Cup 2019: Approaching milestones for the Pakistan players

Pakistan is well known for their surprising performances at the world events be it entering as one of the favourites and getting knocked out early or winning the title coming without many expectations. The Asian team has been a struggling ODI side over the last couple of years which did not stop them from winning the Champions Trophy in 2017. Coming into the World Cup 2019, the Pakistan team lost each of their last ten completed ODI matches but still can’t be taken lightly.

All the approaching player milestones of the Champions Trophy 2017 winners:

200 – Shoaib Malik needs to hit nine more sixes to become the 2nd player to hit 200 sixes in International cricket for Pakistan. Malik has hit 191 maximums for Pakistan till date while another senior player Mohammad Hafeez (184) needs 16 more sixes for the same milestone. Only Shahid Afridi (474) has hit 200+ International sixes for Pakistan thus far.

244 – Mohammad Hafeez needs six more wickets to accomplish 250 wickets in International cricket. Hafeez will become the 2nd player to complete 10000+ runs and 250+ wickets double for Pakistan in Internationals when he picks up those six scalps.

Only eight players have scored 10000+ runs alongside claiming 250+ wickets across all formats in International cricket. The off-spinner also needs 13 wickets to get to 150 ODI wickets.

146 – Hasan Ali needs four more wickets to reach 150 wickets in International cricket. The pacer has bagged 146 wickets in 88 matches at an average of 26.69 till date.

1642 – Fakhar Zaman needs 358 more runs to complete 2000 runs in ODI cricket. If he scores those 358 runs in next three innings, he will be the fastest player to 2000 ODI runs. Fakhar can be the 2nd fastest and the quickest from Pakistan to complete 2000 ODI runs if he gets the 358 runs in the next eight innings.

1877 – Imam-ul-Haq is 123 runs short of 2000 Internationals runs for Pakistan. All-rounder Imad Wasim (965) is 35 runs away from getting to 1000 International runs.

12000 – Mohammad Hafeez has scored 11921 runs in his International career till date. The all-rounder needs 79 more runs to become the 7th player to aggregate 12000 International runs for Pakistan. Another veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik (11675) also needs 325 runs to get to the 12k Intl runs milestone.
