We are all aware of how Virat Kohli and other India cricketers are obsessed with the game of football. The Indian Cricket team arrived at England around 10 days back and Virat was spotted with the Spurs forward Harry Kane and it was seen that they both share a mutual respect for each other. Now the Chelsea Football club have shared their support for the Indian Cricket team, whoa re all set to start their World Cup campaign against South Africa at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.

To quote Kohli on football, he said: “Football is a sport that is loved globally and it’s great to see so many kids having an interest in football apart from cricket as well in India.” It’s clear how the cricketers back the sport besides Cricket. But both the captain and the vice-captain of the Indian Cricket team are supporters of Real Madrid. However, that has never come in the way of how they share a cordial relationship with Chelsea FC

In fact, Chelsea’s star defender and former Brazilian captain David Luiz is also a supporter of the Men in Blue. Earlier, in the form of a video message on Twitter, Luiz wished luck for Virat Kohli and the Indian team and said that he would be supporting them in the World Cup 2019. The football star referred to Kohli as ‘bro’ and also said he will see the team soon.

His response was to Businessman and philanthropist Frank Khalid, who shared the video with the caption: “As you all know I love both football & cricket. I asked @DavidLuiz_4 who he was backing for the @cricketworldcup & his reply was @BCCI & captain @imVkohli. He had a special message for the captain. #ViratKohli.”

“Hello, Virat Kohli! Good luck for the World Cup bro and God bless you and your team. I am going to be supporting you. See you soon!” Luiz was seen saying in a video message.

Coming back to India’s performance in the warm-up games, they first lost to New Zealand by six wickets, Virat Kohli failed to score it. Surprisingly Ravindra Jadeja took charge for India, slamming 54 off 50 balls and that’s a positive that India is carrying with them. In the second warm-up game, India faced Bangladesh and crushed with a 95-run defeat. MS Dhoni starred as the hero of the match with is 78-ball 113.
