The Indian team is currently in England and Wales for the ICC World Cup. The Men in Blue are the two-time champions of the mega event, having won the championship in 1983 and 2011 under Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni respectively. This time around, the team, captained by Virat Kohli, is being deemed as one of the favorites to win the title as it is the ICC’s number-two ranked ODI team.

India has made a tremendous start to the mega event this time around. First, Kohli’s men knocked over South Africa by six wickets at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. Rohit Sharma’s century helped India carve the victory. Thereafter, they rolled over the mighty Australians by 36 runs at the Kennington Oval in London and is the only team after New Zealand to be unbeaten in the tournament.
