World Cup Match 10 Group A: Pakistan vs West Indies Preview:

Date: February 21, 2015  Time: 0330 IST
Venue: Christchurch

Pakistan lost their 1st match to India in a very high tension encounter which has increased the pressure on them to perform well in the subsequent matches.
Misbah also was under criticism for not building enough pressure on Indian batsmen especially on Raina and Virat after Dhawan was dismissed. Even their fast bowlers who were supposed to trouble India were rendered toothless by their erratic bowling.

While their batting failed to click in the match, giving away their wickets in quick succession. But they have a chance to comeback against the really out of form West Indies who were defeated by Ireland. Pakistan needs to address the issue of perfect batting order and the mix of spinners and quick bowlers. Sohail Khan proved his selection by picking up 5 wickets against India, but the selection of Yasir Shah was termed as a wrong move.

West Indies

The West Indies lost their first match against the associate nation of Ireland and need to win this match to gather some momentum for them to progress in the tournament.

They had a collective failure of both batsmen and bowlers. Neither their batting clicked nor their bowling proved to be much effective. Though they scored 304 runs but were 87/5 at one stage. Lendl Simmons (109) and Darren Sammy (89) took them to the final score.

There bowling failed in containing the Irish batsmen or taking early wickets. They need to work on the bowling setup so that they can take early wickets to put Pakistan on pressure. Other big concern will be the form of Chris Gayle. If the can fire, no total is big enough.
