World cup Match 15 Group B West Indies vs Zimbabwe preview:
Date: Feb 24 2015 Time: 0900 IST
West Indies are coming off a very convincing win over Pakistan. They reduced Pakistan to 1/4 before bowling them out for 160 runs. They batted well to set a target for Pakistan, but they would like their opening pair to score big runs. Chris Gayle has been asleep this whole tournament, while Dwayne Smith has been a failure as well. Their only run scorers have been Lendl Simmons, Denesh Ramdin and Marlon Samuels. They will look forward to beat Zimbabwe with a big margin in order to up their NRR.
Zimbabwe gave South Africa a big scare in their opening match before ending up on the losing side. But they defeated UAE for their first win in this World cup. Though UAE scored 285 runs in their innings, Zimbabwean bowling was impressive especially Tendai Chatara.
As always it was Brendan Taylor, Sean Williams and Craig Ervine who took Zimbabwe to the victory. Although Hamilton Masakadza could contribute more to Zimbabwe’s batting effort. If he gets going, Zimbabwe can focus their batting on him and can take it on from there.
