India and New Zealand are up against each other on the 3rd day of the World Test Championship (WTC) Final where Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli started the day for India. As the Indian skipper was in the middle, fans expected him to fetch big in the crucial event. However, Kyle Jamieson had different plans and decided to send his IPL skipper back to the pavilion.

Kohli was batting well at 44 runs with settled Rahane on the other end. However, Jamieson appeared in deadly form and after taking the wicket of Rohit Sharma on day two, he sent back Kohli in no time on the 3rd day. It has to be noted that Jamieson was roped in by Kohli-led RCB in IPL 2021 auction.

The tall pacer who has been doing a great job for Kiwis, did a fair job for his IPL franchise too as he picked nine wickets in seven games in the interrupted leg of IPL 2021. As of now, Twitter can’t stop mocking him as he ended the game of his IPL skipper only.

Here is how Twitter reacted after Kyle Jamieson dismissed Kohli

When Kyle Jamieson refused to bowl Virat Kohli in nets

A reference that makes a point in this dismissal was narrated by Australian cricketer Dan Christian during the first leg of IPL 2021 only. Christian narrated that once Indian skipper Virat Kohli asked Jamieson if he had a Duke ball and if he would like to bowl him in the nets. It was known that Duke ball was going to be used in the final of WTC and it always remains a task for batters to adjust with the same.

However, Jamieson had the Duke ball but added that he would only bowl him in the WTC Final itself. “No chance I am going to bowl at you!” said Jamieson when Virat Kohli asked him if he would bowl him in the nets.

“He would have looked at his release point and everything that he does with the Dukes ball,” said Christian while narrating the whole incident involving Virat Kohli and Kyle Jamieson.
