After being put into bat, Smriti Mandhana gave India a blistering start by scoring a 72-ball 90 and shared a 144-run opening stand with Punam Raut.

Later Punam and Mithali Raj guided India to a big total of 281/3 by scoring fifties. Indian bowlers started off well but England picked up in the middle overs with help of Fran Wilson’s 81. However, 4 run outs ensured the home side fell short in their chase.
