Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma form a formidable opening pair that has helped India in winning several games in the last many years. They also share a strong bond due to which they have managed to reap so much success in international cricket. Now, Dhawan also known as Gabbar has shared a heartwarming post for his on-field partner and Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma.
Its been long that Dhawan and Rohit have been given the task to open the innings for Team India in the limited-overs format. They have done their job quite impressively and have emerged as one of the most successful pair of openers in the history of ODI cricket. They are currently on 4th position in terms of highest run-scoring partnerships in the 50-over format as they have managed to gather 4847 runs in 109 innings.

The duo always complements each other very well whether it’s on or off the field. They always talk about the qualities of each other that has helped them in reaping success on the cricket field. And now, Shikhar Dhawan, the left-handed opener took to his Twitter handle and shared a post raising toast to their friendship.
He posted a still in which Rohit and Dhawan both are posing while smiling at each other. The Delhiite even gave a pleasant caption to the same that read– “Yaari bhi ki yaari bhi nibhaayi. Khoob saare runs ki paari bhi nibhaayi.Gabbar aur Hitman #GabbarKeShabd. ImRo45.”
Currently, Rohit Sharma is recovering from his calf injury that he sustained during the 4th T20I against New Zealand due to which he was sidelined from the ODI and Test series. On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan has finally recovered from his injury and he is now gearing up for the DY Patil T20 tournament.
Dhawan was also picked in the squad of Asia XI for the two-match T20 series against World XI. He will feature in the games alongside Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant.
