Priyam Garg will lead India U19 team for the tri-series in England, starting on July 21. The other team to participate in the tri-series is Bangladesh. The talented Indian squad boasts the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jammu and Kashmir’s fast bowler, Rasikh Salam. Indian colts will depart for England on July 15 as they will be looking to make the most of the experience to prepare for next year’s U19 World Cup, due to be held in South Africa.

All eyes will be on the likes of Salam and Yashasvi. Salam recently turned heads after playing for Mumbai Indians in this year’s Indian Premier League. The 18-year old, who was snapped by Mumbai Indians for INR 20 lakh, played the first game of the season for Mumbai but failed to make much of a mark and did not get any chance further. The teenager has impressed one and all with his skills. He has hit speeds of 135 kph and can bowl lovely inswinger in addition to executing perfect yorkers.

Yashasvi, on the other hand, is already a popular name in the cricketing circles because of the hurdles he has crossed to play the game. With a dream of playing cricket, he had arrived in Mumbai in 2012 as an 11-year old. But with cricket taking up most of his time, he was thrown out of a dairy shop where he used to sleep and was given refuge by the groundsmen at the Muslim United Club’s tent at the Azad Maidan ground.

However, things changed when he met his coach – Jwala Singh. There was no looking back since then and Yashasvi is making the noise for all the right reasons now. Last year, he was a top performer for the Indian cricket team as they defeated Sri Lanka to clinch the U19 Asia Cup title.

Here is India U19 squad for the tri-series in England:

Priyam Garg (C), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Thakur Tilak Verma, Divyansh Saxena, Shaswat Rawat, Dhruv Chand Jurel (WK), Shubhang Hegde, Ravi Bishnoi, Vidyadhar Patil, Sushant Mishra, Rasikh Salam, Sameer Rizvi, Pragnesh Kanpillewar, Kamran Iqbal, Priyesh Patel (WK), Karan Lal, Purnank Tyagi, Anshul Khamboj
