The Big Bash League (BBL) season 7 is going on in full flow and all the games so far in the tournament have been pretty exciting and fascinating. A surprising incident took place during the match between Brisbane Heat and Perth Scorchers at the Gabba, involving the Heat skipper Brendon McCullum and their leg-spinner Yasir Shah.

The wild throw by Yasir Shah

During the game against Scorchers at home, Yasir put up a really good fielding effort after David Wiley tried to play a shot through the gap in the off-side region. But after stopping the ball the leggie in the same motion threw it towards the stumps at the wicketkeeper’s end and it was a wild throw.

It wasn’t a clean travel for the ball as it found McCullum on the way and hit him on the head. The former Kiwi skipper reacted in a sporting manner and patted his teammate in a very healthy manner in an attempt to let it off in a light way.

Yasir replaced his Pakistani teammate Shadab Khan, who pulled out of the tournament due to national commitments. Being a replacement, he has done pretty well chipping in with early wickets for Heat so far in the few games he has played in this edition of the tournament.

The leggie has been a match-winner for his national team in the longest format of the game and also has many milestones to his name in his 28-Test career.

While his BBL captain McCullum has led his team towards the top of the points table with 4 wins out of six league games played in this edition. The former Kiwi cricketer has also contributed with the bat providing his team with ideal starts which have been very crucial for his side. He has so far scored 158 runs in the six matches, which includes one fifty-plus score.
