Former Australian spinner Shane Warne took to Twitter on Wednesday (September 1) to vent out anger against ‘fabricated stories’ regarding him and his family. While Warne didn’t go into detail or mention any names, he demanded an apology from a certain media house. Although the reason behind the former spinner’s anger isn’t clear yet, many believe he responded to the stories of his alleged link-up with ex-fiancee Liz Hurley.

Warne and Hurley were together for a couple of years starting in 2011. The couple even engaged at a point but they separated in 2012 after a trip to Australia that Warne later described as an “absolute circus” because of the intense media scrutiny. A recent tabloid article claimed Warne is planning to marry the English actress. With Warne targeting a publication in his tweets, it seems he targeted the particular magazine.

You should not be allowed to just make things up: Shane Warne

“For 30 years my children & I have had to put up with your lies & fabricated stories – well not anymore,” he posted. You should not be allowed to just make things up. You are going to apologise to the Aust public for your continual lies & my family as this is an absolute disgrace – AGAIN!” he posted.

“And for the small minority out there that want to reply with smart arse comments – imagine what it would be like if someone continually made up stories about you & put it in the public domain for 30 years & the effects that has on your mental health and your families!” he wrote in another tweet.

Meanwhile, it was Woman’s Day that suggested Warne is back with the English actress. “Shane Warne is open to getting married again and it seems he’s already in hot pursuit of his chosen lady – his real-life runaway bride Liz Hurley!” the publication wrote this week.

Last year, Warne blasted New Idea and Woman’s Day for making “crap up” stories against him. “I’ve read some crap in my time, but New Idea has taken the cake for making crap up now & it amazes me how the regulators allow this to continue in both Woman’s day and No idea!” he tweeted.
