The pressure is slowly building on Shivam Dube especially after he was belted by Tim Seifert and Ross Taylor, giving away 34 runs in an over during the fifth and final T20I match against New Zealand at Bay Oval. Dube was in the headlines for the wrong reason as he became the second-most expensive bowler in the shortest format of the game.

Dube might have gone through a terrible experience but former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is not bothered about his recent failures with the bat and the ball. Yuvraj Singh, in fact, reckons it is only a matter of time before Shivam Dube regains his form and confidence, considering the talent that he possesses.

The 2011 World Cup-winning hero has backed Shivam Dube adding that the latter has age on his side and he is still in the learning curve, managing to pick up the tricks of the trade. Dube has been guilty of giving away his wicket easily and has also been worse with the ball. The fans have started to take a dig at him whenever he fails to contribute.

‘Shivam Dube is a good talent’: Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj though urged fans and critics to be a bit more patient with Shivam Dube and give him some more time in the hope that he would come through with flying colours. “Shivam Dube I think is a good talent, but you have to give him time,” the former elegant southpaw told Sport360 on the sidelines of the Expo 2020 Dubai cricket final.

The former India all-rounder also added saying that it would not be that easy for Hardik Pandya to get back in full swing especially after a back injury. “Hardik is coming back from a back injury, and bowling fast after a back injury is going to be tough. So I don’t know how Hardik will turn out.”

Now, the former India man is pretty much confident that Shivam Dube can channelise his aggression in the right path and come out on top at the highest level. “Looking at Dube, you have to give the guy a bit of time and we will see in the future who comes out with the consistent performances,” Yuvraj Singh concluded.
