The Indian Premier League (IPL) fever has taken over the country. The 14th edition of the tournament is set to commence on April 9 and ahead of that Twitter India released team emojis for all the franchises to catch up with the excitement of its users. However, they committed a hilarious mistake putting the CSK team jersey emoji for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
The fans were quick to spot the mistake and they started trolling the franchise. Even the official Twitter handle of CSK took potshots at their rival franchise with a light-hearted tweet. With Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni leading RCB and CSK respectively, the rivalry between the two teams is considered one of the best.
RCB’s official Twitter handle has also across the blunder from Twitter India as it took a witty dig at them asking if they need better tech engineers. “Hey @Twitter @TwitterIndia, looks like you need better tech engineers. Bengaluru is the right place to start hiring. #WhatsWithYourEmojis,” the tweet read. Earlier, CSK had hilariously shared the Rajnikanth meme trolling RCB after the mistake from Twitter India.

RCB to play their first IPL 2021 game on April 9
As far as IPL 2021 is concerned, RCB will be part of the opening game of the season facing the defending and five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) on April 9 in Chennai. The Virat Kohli-led side qualified for the playoffs last season but got eliminated after losing to SRH in the eliminator. They will be hoping to do much better this season to win the elusive trophy.
The team had a decent auction spending a huge sum on Kyle Jamieson and Glenn Maxwell. Their batting looks sorted for this season and it will be interesting to see if Jamieson lives up to his price tag. However, to gain momentum, the Men in Red will be eager to start well by beating MI in the opening game of the season.
