India celebrated the 9th anniversary of 2011 World Cup win on Thursday. The players, who were the part of that winning team were poured with wishes from every nook and corner. Ravi Shastri also shared a post cherishing the moment and tagged only Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli in this tweet. Yuvraj Singh, who was the Man of the tournament then, asked Shastri to tag him and MS Dhoni stating that they were also part of the team to which the current Indian head coach came up with a brilliant response.

In 2011 on 2nd April, India lifted their second World Cup after a long span of 28 years. It was the date when the Men in Blue created history. The hosts locked horns with Sri Lanka in the final and the islanders managed to post a  total of 274 runs in stipulated 50 overs on the back of Mahela Jayawardene’s scintillating ton.

Later on, Team India chased down the total with 10 balls to spare thanks to gutsy knocks played by Gautam Gambhir (97) and MS Dhoni (91*). The duo successfully managed to fulfil the dreams of the billions of Indians. This happened 9 years ago but the memory of that final still holds a special place in the fans’ heart.

Tussi Legend ho, says Ravi Shastri in response

On such a great occasion, Ravi Shastri, the head coach of Team India took to his official Twitter handle and shared a clip of match-winning six smacked by MS Dhoni in the 2011 World Cup final. He also gave a caption to his post that read, “Many Congratulations Guys! Something you will cherish all your life. Just like we from the 1983 group #WorldCup2011 @sachin_rt @imVkohli.”

Soon, Yuvraj Singh made a hilarious comment on Ravi Shastri’s post. The southpaw said that he and MS Dhoni were also the part of that winning team. So, they should also be tagged in the post alongside Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar. Yuvraj Singh took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Thanks senior! U can tag me and Mahi also we were also part of it.”

Later on, Ravi Shastri gave a pleasing reply to Yuvraj saying that he is no junior when it comes to winning the World Cup. The India coach said, “When it comes to World Cups, you are no Junior. Tussi Legend Ho @YUVSTRONG12.”
