Yuvraj Singh has announced himself with his superb knock yesterday. He acted as a catalyst for Sunrisers Hyderabad and made sure they reach a total which is beyond the reach of the injury-hit Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The southpaw made a comeback to the Indian squad for the England series and showed signs of returning to his brutal best with a century in the series. He has carried that form into the Indian Premier League as he registered his fastest fifty in the IPL.

He scored 62 runs in just 27 balls with a strike rate of 229 hitting seven boundaries and three huge sixes in the process. His captain David Warner praised him and said that this is the Yuvraj Singh he used to watch on TV and he wants Yuvi to perform the same throughout the league.

However, there was another Australian who heaped praises on the Indian batsman, Michael Clarke, former Australian captain said that Yuvraj is extremely confident after making the India comeback and is playing some fearless cricket. Virat and Yuvi have a good relationship, Clarke said and the Indian captain wants him in the ODI squad believes the Australian.

“Yuvraj is taking a lot of confidence from his India comeback. He and Virat have a very good relationship. Virat wants him in the ODI team and that’s why he was selected recently for India. He looks fit and healthy and has the hunger and the drive to be successful at the highest level, whether that’s for India or IPL,” explained Clarke while talking to India Today.

Clarke emphasized on the fact that he was brilliant in the partnership he shared with Henriques. The southpaw is at the top of his game says Clarke and rightly so. Clarke was quoted saying, “It’s a great start from Sunrisers. This shows they will be a force again. Yuvraj stepped up and showed his experience and also showed that he is at the top of his game even though he is growing older. The way he played with Henriques was exceptional. Bowling is anyways their strength.” he signed off.
