The current situation of lockdown has been quite frustrating for any sports fan. With no live sports to watch, every sports fan has starved off any real action. However, the social media interactions between some players have acted as a fresh breath for air for some fans.
Since the starting of the lockdown, cricketers have come together and conducted Instagram live sessions. In these sessions, players have discussed several aspects of the game and also revealed some really funny stories. Indian team captain Virat Kohli talked about his teammates and their social media presence in a chat with Star Sports.
Talking about the players of his team, the captain said that during this lockdown, he has found Yuzvendra Chahal to be the biggest joker. Pointing out at the Instagram live session, the 31-year-old revealed that he didn’t know that Jasprit Bumrah can have such detailed talks on a public forum.

“You can ask anyone to come live at any time and then see how their true colours can be seen. Yuzvendra Chahal has been the biggest joker for me in this lockdown. Jasprit (Bumrah) has been a revelation, I did not know that he can have such a detailed conversation in public,” Kohli said during Star Sports show Cricket Connected.
The Indian skipper also wished for his fast bowlers to come together and conduct an Instagram live session. He revealed that he would be interested in seeing how players like Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav try not to reveal their real characters in public.
“I want to see, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami coming together, and having a conversation. You know, I have seen what do they talk about when they come together. I want to see how much control do they have on themselves and their characters come out”, the Indian batsman added.
Though, as fans, we can only hope to see all these stars come together for a live session. Mohammed Shami has conducted sessions with several cricketers in recent times, like Rohit Sharma, Irfan Pathan and Manoj Tiwary. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was seen in an Instagram live session with David Warner.
