Yuzvendra Chahal has been one of the finds for India in 2017 who sealed his position in the limited-overs format ahead of the other lead spinners. His ability to pick wickets in the middle overs made him the favourite of the captain as he played almost all the matches during the recent home season of India. His performances have kept the likes of R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja out of the ODI set up. However, in his recent social media post, Chahal claimed to have lifted a heavier weight than even Chris Gayle which led to the latter commenting on the post as well.

Chahal’s leg-spin bowling has been impeccable as he is never afraid to flight the ball even in tough situations. The youngster is preparing himself for the stern tour of South Africa ahead of the limited-overs leg of India’s tour. He will fly to the country soon after the conclusion of the ongoing Test series it seems and is sweating it out in the gym to keep himself going for the series. He will be tested on the tour as the wickets won’t be conducive to spin like India and would’ve to come up with different strategies to fox the batsmen.

Chahal’s Instagram post

Yuzvendra Chahal is currently enjoying a break having opted not to play in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali zonal league. Though he is training hard at the National Cricket Academy and is making each day count. He posted a video of his training on Instagram and captioned it as, “Make each day count. Get better everyday #newyear #newgoals.” Soon, the South African leggie Tabraiz Shamsi and his RCB teammate commented in a funny way comparing him to Chris Gayle.

His comment read, “Oh my gosh! Is this @yuzi_chahal23 or @chrisgayle333??” Chahal was quick in his reply in which he too claimed that he used to lift a heavier weight than Chris Gayle. “I lift heavier than @chrisgayle333. This is my warm up set @shamsi90,” the leg-spinner commented. However, the Universe Boss was a bit surprised to read the comment and joined in on the conversation. He said, “Wtf. Kill me,” which summed his frustration hilariously.
