India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal celebrated his 28th birthday yesterday on 23rd July 2018 and many of the former and present cricketers wished the cricketer on his special day. Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan also wished the leggie on his birthday with a lovely message on Twitter. In reply to the wish, the Indian cricketer thanked the Afghan spin-sensation for the wishes.

Rashid wishes his ‘bro’ Chahal on his birthday

With the introduction of new cricketers from across the world and popularity of the Indian Premier League (IPL) growing rapidly, it has helped the players to build a strong camaraderie with the cricketers from the other national teams. One such exemplary relationship has been noticed recently between the leg-spinning duo from the sub-continent, Chahal, and Rashid. The latter wished his counterpart on Twitter and tagged Chahal as his brother in the message.

“Wishing you a very happy birthday my bro @yuzi_chahal” wrote Rashid in his birthday wish for Chahal on Twitter.

The Indian leggie also had an obliging reply for the Afghanistan spinner. He thanked Rashid for the birthday wishes and also tagged him as a ‘brother’.

“Thank you Rashid bhai” wrote Chahal in his reply on Twitter.

Yuzvendra Chahal was recently part of the Indian team touring England for a limited overs series and then the five-match Test series. The visitors started the tour with a sensational T20I series win by a 2-1 margin but were outplayed by the hosts in ODI series. On the personal front, Chahal did not have a memorable outing in his debut England tour, as he failed to pick up wickets consistently, whereas his fellow spinner Kuldeep Yadav impressed everyone with his brilliant performance in which he scalped a T20I five-wicket haul and a six-wicket haul in the first ODI match.

Chahal was also recently named in the India A team for the two four-day matches against South Africa A, starting with the game from 4th August. The selection comes as an opportunity to prepare himself for the longest format of the game.
