Actress Zareen Khan has a crush on this star cricketer

Bollywood actresses and the cricketers are known to have some connection ever since Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi married Sharmila Tagore. There have been a lot of instances when the rumours of a particular cricketer dating an actress. The Indian skipper Virat Kohli is also reported to have an affair with the leading lady in the film industry Anushka Sharma. But Bollywood actress Zareen Khan has revealed the cricketer she has a crush on and surprisingly it is not on Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. She is a big fan of the former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi.

Now many would think what made Zareen Khan declare her favourite cricketer? Well, she is the celebrity ambassador of the team Pakhtoons in the upcoming 10-overs-per-side T10 Cricket League. Some of the star cricketers like Eoin Morgan, Virender Sehwag, Chris Gayle, Shakib Al Hasan and Kumar Sangakkara are set to participate in this league. Shahid Afridi is also the part of the league and he will play for Pakhtoons.

I was an admirer of his looks

Bollywood actress Zareen Khan has been drooling over Afridi since he made debut at the age of 16. She was also thrilled after knowing that the star cricketer from Pakistan is the part of the team. “I have been a fan of Afridi from the very first day he had played his match, I think he was 16 and scored 100 runs on 32 or 35 balls. I was an admirer of his hair and his looks. When (Pakhtoons franchise owner Habib Khan) came to me and told about this, I said ‘Please, let me play in this format’,” she said as quoted by inuth.

T10 cricket league has been launched in the United Arab Emirates and many star cricketers have signed up to play in the league. The inaugural edition is all set to commence on December 21 and will be played until 24th of the month. However, the detailed schedule is yet to be announced. Total six teams are vying up for the top honours and their names are, Maratha Arabians, Kerala Kings, Pakhtoons, Punjab Legends, Bengal Tigers and Colombo Lions.
