New Zealand completed the clean sweep in the two-Test series. But that only after fighting an even stronger resistance than they had to in the first Test as the Zimbabwe players showed a lot of determination with the bat in their first innings after conceding 582/4.

Though Zimbabwe failed to avoid the follow-on narrowly, New Zealand batted again and set a target of 387 for the home side. Zimbabwe, however, collapsed in the 2nd innings and were bowled out for just 132 as New Zealand won the Test match at the Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo by 254 runs.
