The 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) resumed on Saturday. The playoff stage was left to play after the end of league stage back in March when the tournament had to be stopped hastily due to COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to play the last four matches soon after the Indian Premier League (IPL) to find out the winner of the season.

Accordingly, the top two teams, Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings faced in the qualifier while Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi locked horns in the first eliminator. As the T20 extravaganza resumed in Pakistan, an interesting incident took place during the second match of the day which left the viewers in splits.

Chasing 171, the Qalandars were staging a decent recovery courtesy Mohammad Hafeez and Ben Dunk and the match was interestingly poised in the 12th over. The latter got out to Mohammad Imran off the first ball of the over and Hafeez also ran into the dressing room with him But not many knew about this and the viewers were wondering the reason for a longer delay about the resumption.

Imam-ul-Haq’s hilarious dig at Mohammad Hafeez

Wahab Riaz, Imam-ul-Haq and Shoaib Malik of Peshawar Zalmi were having a chat in between when the Spider-cam got hold of them and the commentator Ramiz Raja started to chat with them. During the conversation, Raja asked the players wittily if they can time out Mohammad Hafeez who wasn’t in the middle. At that time, Imam-ul-Haq hilariously revealed an interesting convo between him and the said batsman.

He stated that Hafeez was telling from the last couple of overs that he has to go the washroom badly. “2 overs se keh raha hai mujhe susu aaraha hai,” Imam said only to leave his teammates and Ramiz Raja in splits. Soon, Hafeez returned as he came back running on the field and play resumed. The break didnt hinder the veteran’s concentration and he played a match-winning knock to take the Qalandars over the line.

Mohammad Hafeez slammed an unbeaten 74 off just balls as his team won the match by five wickets and with an over to spare.
