Shreyas Iyer is one of the highly ranked youngsters doing the rounds. The Mumbai-based cricketer has already appeared for India in 6 ODIs and T20Is each. Apart from his excellent List-A numbers, the right-handed batsman owns really appreciable ODI stats as well. He has scored 210 runs in 6 ODIs at an average of 42 while amassing over 2600 List-A runs in 70 matches.

Iyer was recently named the captain of IPL franchise, Delhi Capitals for 2019 as the youngster has the experience of leading Mumbai in domestic cricket. Meanwhile, he could well be a good back-up option if the Indian captain injures himself in the World Cup. Shreyas can also bowl good leg-breaks, which would surely be a bonus for the Men in Blue, in case he is required.
