2. Ishan Porel
A bowler with speed in the excess of 140, Ishan is an emerging talent in the pace department. Unfortunately, he has often got unrecognized, unlike his Under-19 World Cup 2018 teammates, who have got instant fame. Though he has been a pick of the ‘A’ squads, the 21-year-old has struggled to find an IPL contract.
The bowler from Bengal scalped a 6-fer against Jammu and Kashmir in his first game of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20, which helped his side to inflict a crushing defeat. There have been a few ups-and-downs in his form since then, but he has managed to scalp 10 wickets from six games.
Porel, despite being an efficient powerplay bowler, can also extract extra bounce from the pitch due to his height. This might do great help to the Mumbai side, who will then have an option to start with him and use Jasprit Bumrah only in the death. Therefore, he might not be very far from earning his maiden IPL contract in IPL 2020
