Team India, led by new T20I skipper Rohit Sharma, has taken up an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series against New Zealand. The final clash of the series will set action at Kolkata and the men in blue are currently in a position to play with their combinations a bit.

Given that the third game will ahve no effect on the series result, new chances might be on cards for some young players. Rohit has already stated earlier that the benched players will get their chances and there couldn’t have been a better time for them. Hence, let’s take a look at-

Three changes India might make in the final T20I against NZ

1. Ruturaj Gaikwad for KL Rahul

Both these players are top class in their own leagues and had a wonderful IPL 2021. Gaikwad stunned all by unleashing his class in the IPL 2021 and finally returned with the Orange Cap. On the other hand, KL has been India’s trusted performer at the top for a long time now.

However, as KL has already played his part in the series, especially in the 2nd T20I, the team can go with talented youngster Gaikwad in the final game. He is a perfect performer at the top and has already played for India in the Sri Lanka T20Is in July.

Gaikwad is a talented and fearless batter at the top and can give the team great starts. Opening up alongside Rohit Sharma, he will have all the more confidence and guidance beside him in the Kolkata game on November 21.
