Beuran Hendricks
Beuran Hendricks has been in excellent form in recent times. He’s made a decent impact in the shortest format for South Africa. He picked up eight wickets against Pakistan in the T20I series earlier this year. He seemed to be on a roll as he continued his good form in the CSA T20 Challenge.
On the back of these impressive performances, Mumbai Indians opted to go for the left-arm pacer as the replacement for the injured Alzarri Joseph. However, the Mumbai franchise never used the services of the 29-year-old left-arm fast bowler.
With Jason Behrendorff, Mitchell McClenaghan and Lasith Malinga being MI’s frontline overseas pacers and the likely return of Alzarri Joseph, Hendricks may not even be anywhere close in the pecking order. Thus, it’s best for MI to let the South African go.
