5. Mushfiqur Rahim

The wicketkeeper batter has been a stalwart for Bangladesh cricket for more than a decade now. He is an excellent batter and has got an unmatched level of consistency when compared to some of the other players in his team. However, one has to sit and wonder if he fits into a T20 plan which ideally Bangladesh will lay down moving forward.
He is an excellent batter in the 50 overs format. He has been incredibly good with the bat, especially in the middle overs. However, the T20 game has moved quite fast and it is important that the batters playing in the middle order have to adjust and understand the needs of the game today. It requires players who have more than two or three gears.
On top of that, for the longest period, Rahim was Bangladesh’s top wicketkeeper. However, with the emergence of players like Liton Das and Nurul Hasan, Rahim is getting closer to a stage where he can be dispensable. Even though he scored a fifty, he looked a little out of sorts in the rest of the matches, which once again can bring questions on him. And given the kind of campaign Bangladesh has had, it is quite obvious.
