Bhuvneshwar Kumar has by far been one of the best Indian pace bowlers in the history of the league. He started his IPL career with the now-defunct Pune Warriors India in the year 2011. He then joined Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014. Bhuvi has taken 133 wickets in 117 games at an impressive economy rate of 7.24. He has bagged the Purple Cap twice, in the years 2016 and 2017.

Bhuvi had a decent season last year, picking up 13 wickets in 15 games at an economy rate of 7.8. He was consistent throughout the season, and bowled well in the death overs, barring a couple of games.

Returning from a recurring injury, he will lead Hyderabad’s bowling attack this season as well. He is confident about his team, and believes that they can consistently defend low totals as they have over the years. He has also talked about how the wickets would become slower in the second half of the tournament.
