The fast-bowling all-rounder from Bangladesh was one of the few bright spots for his team in this World Cup. He came in with a mediocre reputation and was remembered as the bowler who was hit for five sixes in a row by David Miller en route to the joint-fastest T20I century.

However, Saifuddin made a remarkable turnaround in this World Cup. He scalped 13 wickets in this World Cup with an average of 32.07 and economy of 7.18. He was particularly useful at the death with his yorker and formed a good combination with Mustafizur Rahman. He was also effective with the bat.

His best performance came against India where he completed his fifty in only 37 deliveries and gave a scare to the eventual semi-finalists. Saifuddin bowls well with the new ball as well as the death overs. He can also hit a few lusty blows with the willow. These attributes make him an automatic buy for the Indian Premier League.
