Quinton de Kock has been one of the star performers for South Africa over the last few years. He has consistently given South Africa good starts at the top of the order. However, 2018 wasn’t the best year for him. He scored 327 runs in 10 innings. He constantly got starts but couldn’t convert them. Also, he didn’t play a lot of ODIs last year (just 10). The years before 2018 were excellent for the acrobatic wicket-keeper.

He amassed in excess of 850 runs in 2016 and 2017, averaging in excess of 50. He was rested for the first couple of ODIs against Pakistan but he came back for the third and made a fluent 33. Hence, along with Hashim Amla, De Kock will look to give the Proteas a solid start and the latter will certainly be looking to better his World Cup record.
