3. Sherfane Rutherford

The destructive all-rounder hails from the West Indian firepower league. Rutherford, like his teammates Pollard, Russell, and Bravo, can be a capable all-around option for the teams. He was acquired by MI and did not appear in any IPL 2020 games. In the IPL 2021, he replaced Jonny Bairstow for Sunrisers Hyderabad but did not play because the team already had too many all-rounders in Holder, Nabi, and Rashid.

Sherfane is a lethal batter in the lower order. He primarily bats at 6/7 and is the team’s finisher. He has a career strike rate of 135.86 and 1163 runs scored in T20 cricket. He possesses the ability to hit massive sixes on a consistent basis. He also had a very good CPL season in 2021 scoring a total of 201 runs at a strike rate of 136.73.

He’s also a pretty good bowler. He has an economy rate of 8.33, which is fine going in T20 cricket. He can effectively fill the role of a fifth bowler. He is expected to fetch a high price in the mega auctions because teams are looking for good all-rounders who can provide multiple benefits to the team.
