5 Reasons Why Craig Kieswetter Announced His Retirement: Craig Kieswetter, a brilliant wicket keeper batsman and one of the architects for the ICC World T20 win for England in 2010 announced his retirement from all forms of Cricket. This is indeed a shocking incident as the Somerset player had to retire at such an early age when he had decent amounts of cricket left in him. The 27-year old player has played 46 One Day Internationals and 25 T20 Internationals for England and had a perfect cricketing career combining the domestic and the international stages of the game. Since ending a career at such an early age is never expected or acceptable from a player of his caliber, let us have a vivid study onto the reasons why Kieswetter had to announce his retirement.

The wicket-keeper batsman suffered from a deadly eye injury in last July while batting against the Northants. That injury led to the destruction of his eye socket and cheekbone and he is yet to recover from the disastrous injury. Kieswetter could have even lost his life but due to intensified medical care, he somehow returned to life and also to cricket but did not manage to carry on with the early run.
