The quality of Afghanistan’s cricket team is growing rapidly in recent times. They have produced many T20 specialists who are playing in leagues all around the globe. Shpageeza Cricket League is a professional T20 tournament established by Afghanistan Cricket Board in 2013. This super over occurred when the match between Amo Sharks and Speen Ghar Tigers resulted in a tie.

The Amo Sharks posted a competitive total of 159 in their 20 overs with Tahir Khan and Noor-ul-Haq being their top performers with the bat. Chasing 160, the Speen Ghar Tigers team managed to score 159 with the help of Elton Chigumbura who scored 16 runs in the last over before getting out. With two runs required off the last ball, Bilal Khan scored just a single pushing the match to a super over.

The SGT team batted first and scored 17 runs off the six balls with each of Chigumbura and Shafiqullah hitting a six in that over. Coming to chase 18 runs in the ultimate over, the Shark’s batsmen tried hitting from the first ball and fell into the trap set by the Tigers bowler, Bilal Khan who took two wickets in two balls and won the match for his team.
