Sheldon Cottrell has been the best bowler for the West Indies in the recent past in white-ball cricket. In fact, he has become their premier fast bowler in limited-overs cricket. Be it ODI cricket or T20s, the left-arm pacer has this happy knack of picking up wickets regularly.

He did it in the World Cup, he did it against India and continued to do it in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) as well. In the CPL this year, Cottrell picked up 12 wickets in eight games while he was playing for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. However, there was no one looking for the Jamaican-born pacer in The Hundred draft.

He went unsold despite his reserve price being just £40,000. However, Cottrell may just find some decent bids in the IPL auctions later this year. Cottrell’s ability to trouble the batsmen, both at the start and at the death can come in very handy.
