The World T20 in India witnessed some incredible individual performances however also saw some top players failing to make an impact. There were huge expectations from these individuals to give their team’s the crucial edge but they failed to live up to the expectations and it certainly hurt their team’s chances on numerous occasions. Here’s a look at 7 high-profile players who failed to impress in the global event.

1. Dale Steyn:

One of the modern day greats, Dale Steyn could have possibly made his last appearance in coloured clothing for South Africa in this tournament. The fast bowler had a poor outing against England and conceded 35 runs off his wicket-less 2 overs. He was dropped for the next 2 games and played against Sri Lanka delivering a 4-over spell of 1/33. His good record in T20 matches was the reason for his selection over Morne Morkel who wasn’t picked in the squad. Steyn looked out of sorts and couldn’t bowl as well as expected.
