The upcoming biopic on the great Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is all set to hit the theatres on 26th May and there is a sense of buzz and anticipation about the move among all his fans and supporters. We all know that Sachin Tendulkar ad Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood Amir Khan are good friends and Sachin recently mentioned that if not for him, Amir would have been the best option to play his role.

Tendulkar revealed that Aamir also gave him inputs and helped him to prepare for the film. He also gave valuable suggestions during the production process and Sachin said he will invite him for the screening of the film. It will be one of the eagerly awaited movies of the year which might go on to break the world record in the box office.

“Yes I will. In fact, Aamir has also had his inputs and he has helped me. Aamir is a good friend. When it comes to his movies, I also get to see them before everyone. So is the case with my movie, Sachin was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times. The film has also been declared tax free in two states namely Chhattisgarh and Kerala. The film scheduled to hit the theatres on 26th May will be released in English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Telegu.

Got emotional while shooting the film: Tendulkar

The Master revealed that he got very emotional while shooting the film as it made him relive some of the best moments in his life and also the hardships he went through during his illustrious 24 years long career. “I think to be able to re-live all those moments, 24 years that I have been part of the Indian team has really been special. I was going through each and every series; every match, figuring the highest point of my career and the lowest point of my career and to re-live that was really special,” he said.

Reveals the most difficult phase in his life

Tendulkar lost his father during the 1999 World Cup and he conceded that it was the most difficult phase in his career. He went back to attend the funeral and came back to smash a 140 against Kenya in his very next match. He also dedicated the film to his father Ramesh and brother Ajit Tendulkar who played integral parts in the making of Sachin.

“[In the film] you see glamour; someone has so many ads, income and those kinds of things. But the journey doesn’t start [there]. The journey had challenges.

“I travelled by buses and trains. I also got pushed around. There were a number of occasions where I couldn’t get off the bus because it was too crowded. Sometimes the bus didn’t stop at the bus stop. So those kinds of things did happen. We are trying to show something which is 100 percent real. There is nothing made up and hopefully children will get inspired,” he signed off.
