The hosts strained every muscle, however, India outplayed them in departments and subsequently thrashed them black and blue.
From South Africa’s perspective, they suffered a body blow owing to injuries to a number of their big names, AB de Villiers is one of them. He featured in South Africa’s victorious Test squad. Nevertheless, a sore finger ruled him out of the first three games in the ODI series. Nevertheless, he played the remaining games at Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, and Centurion respectively.
However, the Pretoria born cricketer was sidelined for the three-match T20 series because of a knee injury and with an aim to get fit before the upcoming Test series against Australia. Proteas fought hard, India was just too good in the shorter version and deserved the win. In other news, @BlueBullsRugby made my day, and now for some very entertaining Golf. Can’t wait to join the Proteas tomorrow again!! Ready to rumble

After a magnificent Test series, South Africa slumped alarmingly and dished out lackluster shows during the ODI and Test series. However, they will be looking to stage a comeback in their upcoming assignments against Australia. De Villiers himself is expected to be a vital cog in their setup provided he attains fitness ahead of the opening Test at the Kingsmead in Durban on March 1.
On the other hand, India will play a triangular T20 series involving Sri Lanka and Bangladesh which starts on March 6 at the iconic R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. After an emphatic victory, India would hope to replicate their form in their tour of Sri Lanka.
