While MS Dhoni is not playing cricket right now, he has been a very busy man. From serving the army, attending India’s match, interacting with fans, training with Jharkhand players to building a snowman with his daughter Ziva, the former India skipper has his hands full. The veteran cricketer has not played for India since the end of the World Cup in July but has kept himself busy with different activities.

And recently, he caught up with Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn whose movie Tanhaji released on Friday (January 10). Ajay Devgn himself took to Instagram to reveal the meeting to the fans. He posted a picture of himself posing alongside the World Cup-winning skipper and gave a solid caption for the same. Unsurprisingly, the fans of Dhoni and Devgn flooded the comment section with compliments in no time.

“Cricket and Films … the uniting religion of our country @mahi7781,” wrote Devgn.

MS Dhoni to retire from ODIs soon

While there is no clarity over the future of MS Dhoni in international cricket, India coach Ravi Shastri has made things a little bit clear. The former India all-rounder said that Dhoni might hang up his boots in the 50-over format sooner rather than later. At the same time, Shastri also made it clear that it would not easy for Dhoni to return to the side.

Shastri said that Dhoni could convince the selectors and the team-management once again by doing well in the upcoming season of IPL. A good outing in the IPL could put Dhoni in contention for this year’s T20 World Cup in Australia.

“I have had a conversation with MS and that is between us. He has finished his Test career, he may soon end his ODI career. So he will be left with T20, he will definitely play the IPL. One thing I know about Dhoni is that he will not impose himself on the team. But if he has a cracking IPL, well, then…,” Shastri told News18.

“We will have to consider a person’s experience and form. They will bat in the number 5-6 position. If Dhoni plays well in IPL then he does put himself in contention,” he added.
