Another Indian fast bowler Ankit Rajpoot gets married

The wedding season for the Indian cricketers continues as Ankit Rajpoot also got hitched to his girlfriend Maahi Singh. Interestingly, he is the third fast bowler to get married this week as Zaheer Khan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar also started the new innings of their life. However, the cricketer is an exciting fast bowler and is being looked at as an upcoming prospect for the Indian cricket. The Indian team is also looking at a fast bowler who can bowl consistently with pace and he might be the one to look for in the next few years.

The 23-year-old plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket and is also part of Kolkata Knight Riders franchise in Indian Premier League (IPL). He has also played for Chennai Super Kings in the previous editions under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. So far he has picked 18 wickets in five matches in the ongoing season of Ranji Trophy. It seems that he opted out of the final game as he was due to get married. Uttar Pradesh, unfortunately, could not register a single victory this season and have been knocked out of the tournament.

Rishi Dhawan wishes Ankit

Rishi Dhawan, the cricketer from Himachal Pradesh, probably attended the marriage ceremony of Ankit Rajpoot and shared the image of the newlywed couple on social media website Instagram. He also wished the duo a happy married life in his message which read, “Many many congratulations to my brother @ankitrajpoot.412 and bhabhi ji @maahi_23singh , may god bless u both with a wonderful life ahead.”

Rajpoot is the right arm fast bowler and impressed many in the last season of IPL when he played under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir. He didn’t play all the matches of the season but showcased his ability, whenever he was given an opportunity. Ankit would love to feature in the next season as well and hope that some franchise picks him in the auction which is scheduled next year. He might not be retained but Kolkata will surely be thinking him to snap him as the youngster has shown immense improvement in last few years. Also, his impressive domestic season might work in his favour.
