Anushka Sharma gleefully accepts Virat Kohli’s fitness challenge

Virat Kohli follows a strict regime in order to stay fit, something well-documented. Moreover, he is conscious about his looks and frequently works out in the gymnasium in order to maintain his stupendous level of fitness. He also has a proper diet chart which complements his rigorous workout. He has a chiselled body because of which the female fraternity of the country as well as from abroad have gone gaga over the Indian skipper.

‘A fit body means a fit mind’- It’s a theory which has worked out wonders for the Indian skipper. The exceptional fitness standards have meant that Kohli steps on to the field without bothering much about his body, which has always been in great shape. He has notched a plethora of records in an already glorious career and he is speculated to continue with his rich vein of form.

The fitness campaign

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, the country’s Sports Minister, is running a movement titled “Hum Fit to India Fit”. Rathore, who is also the silver-medalist of Shooting in the 2004 Olympics, wants the Indians to take fitness seriously in order to stay healthy. He took to Twitter and put forth his request and also challenged Virat for a fitness segment.

He did a few push-ups in order to show his participation and then tagged Kohli, badminton player Saina Nehwal and even Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Meanwhile, the Indian skipper obliged to the task and posted a video where he has been seen sweating it out. He also mentioned Anushka Sharma’s name and urged her for the same.

Anushka, the better half of Kohli, didn’t disappoint him and posted a video of her workout. He posted the same with a message which read

“I accept your challenge @imVKohli. Here’s my video for the #HumFitTohIndiaFit #FitnessChallenge. I’d like to nominate my friends, @DipikaPallikal and @Varun_dvn Great initiative @Ra_THORe sir! #ComeOutAndPlay”
