Arjun Tendulkar has been creating a name of his own in the cricketing universe. The son of the batting supremo Sachin Tendulkar is taking giant leaps in junior level cricket in the ongoing Vinoo Mankad Trophy. Regarded as a fast bowling all-rounder Arjun played a phenomenal role in Mumbai U19 team’s victory over Assam juniors.

Mumbai recorded their fourth victory in six games as Arjun leads the wicket-takers tally for his side. The left-arm pacer has picked 13 wickets playing all six games. He has continued to inspire confidence in his team’s bowling line-up with another fantastic performance.

Ineligible for the next U19 World Cup

Arjun was also a part of the India U19 team that played two first-class games against Sri Lanka in July. While he didn’t have much to show with the bat, he took 3 wickets. He wasn’t named in the One-Day side since the all-rounder would turn 20 next year, which makes him ineligible for the next U19 World Cup in 2020.

If he does well, Arjun is likely to break into the Mumbai U23 squad as well. The youngster will also be aiming to make it into the Mumbai seniors team.
