The first Day-Night Test between India and Australia has kicked off in Adelaide, and both the cricketing giants would be trying their best to turn things in their favour. The fierce bowling attack of Australia started dominating from the very first day itself and it troubled visitor’s batsmen. After winning the toss, Virat Kohli decided to show up with willows first.

Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal walked determined enough to get some significant things for the team, but it didn’t happen. While Shaw got troubled by Mitchell Starc just at the start of his innings, Agarwal saw some mind-boggling delivery from Pat Cummins’ end. It was only when Agarwal started to feel settled alongside Cheteshwar Pujara, Cummins got adamant to end his show.

Here is the brilliant delivery by Pat Cummins

Cummins came with a peach of a delivery which went through the gate of Agarwal to clean-bowled him in the 19th over. The batsmen had to leave on 17 runs after facing 40 deliveries. The Indian team is up with their willows and have put up 41 runs on the board at the loss of two wickets. Pujara (17) and Indian skipper Virat Kohli (5) are currently on the crease while the innings have halted for the dinner break.

Cummins and Starc have named one wicket each to their credit. Although the runs have not flown in India’s account as per expectations so far, the team will try to build a settled stand while the innings resume. It will be highly expected from run machine Virat Kohli to make big for the team as he would not be available from the second Test owing to his paternity leave. Hitman Rohit Sharma has also landed the Australian soil and would be available for selection from the third Test.

India would be hoping to maintain its best game in days to come. From the second Test, Ajinkya Rahane will don the skipper’s hat while leading the team against arch-rivals. Injured David Warner is also expected to return to his squad from the next Test match.
